Pre & Post Treatment Guide
When coming in for an appointment, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible from start to finish. There is nothing worse than feeling anxious about what you need to do before an appointment and not knowing if you can continue with your day to day plans after your appointment. This is why I have written up a pre and post guide to make your treatment experience as smooth as possible.
Before Your Appointment Day:
-
Five days before your appointment, please stop using any products that contain acids, retinal or exfoliating agents.
-
I would advise you also avoid washing your hair just before your appointment as I will get oil in your hair. No one likes washing their hair more than they have to.
-
Please ensure you wait two weeks to book an appointment after receiving Botox, Dermal Fillers, Skin boosters or any other injectable treatment.
-
Semi-permanent makeup may be a longer wait time due to the healing process, so please ask your technician if you need to wait longer than two weeks.
-
When booking your appointment please ensure you have worked it round any personal plans that require you to want to wear makeup or freshly washed hair.
-
If you are going out straight after your appointment, please be mindful you will have oil in your hair. If you have weekend plans that you would like to wear makeup for, please ensure your appointment is booked latest 48 hours before you would next like to apply makeup.
There is more details on what to avoid after your treatment in the post aftercare guide below.
Clothing:
For any Bespoke Facial, I advise coming in comfy clothes that are easy to remove and to get back into.
For the treatment we ask that you remove your top half of your clothing so we can access the chest area when massaging and performing the facial, this makes for a more comfortable treatment and avoids us getting any products on your clothing.
Jewellery:
Jewellery will need to be removed for the treatment, this includes facial piercings, necklaces and earrings. This is for your safety, to ensure we do not catch and rip any of your piercings and with particular machines it can also be dangerous with the electricity.
I would personally advise if you can to not bring any Jewellery with you to your appointment just in case you accidentally leave it behind.
Makeup:
I kindly ask you come makeup-free to your appointment; this allows me to take a good look at your skin beforehand but also removing makeup can cut into your treatment time. If you do need to attend your treatment with makeup on, it is not a problem however like mentioned before it will cut into your treatment time.
What To Bring With You:
If you are a new client please bring your skincare products with you to your appointment, this allows us to go through your products together to see what you are doing at home and if we can make any changes in order of application or cutting some products out to help with any concerns you may be having. Also the use of certain products can also restrict certain treatments. If you are an existing client and you have recently purchased new skincare, please also bring this along with you.
I would also advise bringing something to tie your hair back with after treatment as you will have oil in your hair.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:
If this applies to you, firstly congratulations!!
However unfortunately you are unable to have any treatment with me for the first 12 weeks of your pregnancy.
After your 12 weeks, you are able to book the Bespoke I Facial as this treatment can adapted to be pregnancy safe.
When you reach the last stages of your pregnancy, this is when I advise to access your personal situation as for some it can be uncomfortable to be still for a long period of time. Of course we can adapt the treatment and bed to make it as comfortable as we can by reducing treatment time and positioning. If you want to spend 15 minutes having a drink and catch up and only 30-45 minutes having treatment, this can also be discussed.
For those who are breastfeeding, you will be unable to receive treatment until after
