Gabby’s Personal Acne Journey

Before

After
Suffering with acne and breakouts is something I have always been open and honest about with my clients and over my social media platforms. It was something I learnt to embrace and accept over the last few years, however towards the end of 2024 my acne had peaked to its absolute worst. I reached an all time low and was suffering with my acne both physically and mentally. My skin became so sore to touch, to the point I couldn't even bring myself to cleanse my face and actually had to stop using skincare.
My acne literally took over. It started to effect my work, relationships and social life. I became so embarrassed, I would cancel plans, cry every time I looked in the mirror and even go red when someone looked at me. I stopped doing my hair and makeup because I honestly didn't see the point when I felt my skin made my appearance look so bad anyway that nothing would make me look better.
I honestly believed my business would start to fail because clients would probably think, "how on earth is she going to help me when her skin is so bad?"
Do you know the crazy thing was is deep down I knew I could change my skin because I literally did it for a living. The problem wasn't just needing treatments and skincare, it was so much more than that. I was in such a rut, I was burnt out, exhausted, drained and in a very low place mentally. I didn't eat well, I worked ridiculous hours and I never put myself first, I just completely neglected myself.
In December 2024 I made a promise to myself that I was going to make serious changes to my lifestyle and stick to them.
The changes I made to heal my skin:
- Reduce my hours and create a better work life balance.
- Eat proper meals and stop snacking on biscuits.
- Stick to a simple skincare routine.
- Commit to doing my own monthly facials.
- Book myself in for well-being treatments such as massages, facials, hair & nails to make myself feel better.
- Make plans to look forward to.
- Socialise more and spend time with the people I love.
I hand on heart understand how much acne and other skin concerns can affect your life, confidence and energy, it quite literally can consume you. I have put so many hours into constantly learning, extending my treatment menu and protocols to help you all achieve the best possible outcome.
